This module introduces fundamental skills for the appropriate communication of architectural design. It engages different means of visualization and expression of space and spatial ideas through architectural drawings.

Architecture from the lenses of a person

to understand the expression of the perception of ‘self’ and the body, construction and materiality in terms of tectonics.

the use of anthropometrics and designing interpersonal space with creative exercise involving the body movements and experiences of an individual.

Architecture History and Theory

Architecture from the past

A chronological survey of the developments of Ancient architecture to Western architecture from the beginning of time to the period of Enlightenment.

These issues are explored with reference to major contemporary examples and the work and philosophy of significant exponents.
